Established in 2001, Mountain Lodges of Peru (MLP) began offering tourism services at destinations along the Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu in 2008, and currently operates five deluxe mountain lodges. MLP’s lodges on the Lares Trail and in the Sacred Valley will be an extension of these same facilities, with architecture designed to blend into the existing landscape, reducing their visual impact to a minimum, and the use of local materials-stone, adobe, wood, and straw-that reflect the region’s traditional construction. The lodges are also energy efficient, with high-performance solar and space water heaters.

In 2013, MLP launched its first Boutique Hotel, El Mercado Tunqui, just 3 and a half blocks from the main plaza of Cusco. Formerly part of the city’s old farmers market, El Mercado Tunqui’s 31 rooms and quaint atmosphere guarantee personal and friendly service and will immediately immerse our guests in the cultural and historical traits of Cusco and Peru.

Delfin II has fourteen large guest suites include four master suites with 180ª panoramic windows and ten suites –four of which can be interconnected to accommodate families- providing all comforts of world-class suites, yet preserving the spirit of casual and refined elegance. The dining room on the second deck, the observation deck, bar, entertainment center, library, and our special hammock sun deck will be the perfect gathering place for all our guests.
